3. Method3.1 Research questions(1) How is the lexical sophistication of reading comprehension of NEMT(I) in the past ten years.(2) How is the lexical variation of the reading comprehension of NEMT(1) in the past ten years.(3) How is the lexical density of the reading comprehension of NEMT(1) in the past ten years. 3.2 MaterialsIn this study, reading comprehension in NEMT(I) for 2011-2021 was selected as the corpus, and a small corpus was built by itself; Among them, there are five reading comprehension A, B, C, D, E in 2011, and four reading comprehension A, B, C, and D in 2012-2021. The corpus has a total of 10,754 words, and the content of reading comprehension mainly involves three aspects: politics, economy and culture. In addition, the words in the 3500 essential vocabulary of Spark English High School are also referred to, of which these 3500 words are from the textbook and the extension of the outside world, which is the basic and key words that high school students must master, helping high school students to master and improve their vocabulary knowledge. This is demonstrated by looking at how often these words appear in reading comprehension, which is also one of the dimensions of vocabulary richness. 3.3 MethodsWith the help of wordsmith 6.0, this study measures the lexical diversity of the corpus by calculating the standard class character and the shape ratio (STTR); Using Spark English High School Vocabulary 3500 as a vocabulary frequency archive, run R software to measure the lexical sophistication and lexical density.
